3 Click Add → Connect and sign in with your TAMI account.

4 In a chat, go to + → Connectors and turn TAMI on.

Owner + Members

1 Owner or Primary Owner: Organization settings → Connectors → Add → Custom → Web.

2 Enter the TAMI MCP URL and click Add.

3 Optionally set tool permissions: Always allow, Needs approval, or Blocked.

4 Members go to Customize → Connectors, connect, and sign in with their own TAMI account.

1What is an MCP server?

An MCP server is a service that connects an AI assistant to live data and tools using the Model Context Protocol, the open standard for that connection. Instead of answering from what it was trained on, the assistant calls the server and works from real records. A server exposes a set of tools the assistant can call, the assistant decides which one fits the question, and the result comes back into the conversation. Any MCP client can talk to any MCP server, so the same connector works in Claude, ChatGPT and a custom agent. The TAMI MCP server supplies company, contact and technology data.

2How do I connect an MCP server to Claude?

Four steps, no developer needed. Open the Claude connector directory and find the server you want, for TAMI that is claude.ai/directory/connectors/tami. Click Add to Claude. Complete OAuth sign in with the account you already hold with that provider, no API key to paste. Then open any chat, click the tools menu and confirm the server’s tools are listed. From that point the tools are available in every conversation, and you can remove or re-authorise the connector at any time from Settings then Connectors. Connecting to ChatGPT follows the same pattern from its app directory.

3What is TAMI MCP?

TAMI’s first-party connector built on the Model Context Protocol. It connects your TAMI account to Claude, ChatGPT and any other MCP client, so you can search companies, enrich contacts and read the technology a company runs inside one conversation.

4Do I need to be a developer?

No. You add TAMI once in your AI tool’s connector settings and sign in with your TAMI account. If you are connecting a coding client or your own agent, point it at https://mcp.tami.ai/mcp and it will pick up the rest.

5What does it cost?

There is no separate MCP subscription. Usage draws from the same credit wallet as the TAMI API and Lead Enrichment, and no credits are spent on lookups that return nothing.

6How is this different from a contact database connector?

Contact coverage is table stakes. TAMI also detects which shipping carrier, payment processor and ecommerce platform each company actually uses, read from the live website under European patent EP3289487. That is what makes questions like “who ships with DPD and turns over more than £10M” answerable.

7Is it GDPR compliant?

Yes. TAMI was built GDPR compliant rather than retrofitted, and compliance settings are configurable by country so you can match the rules of each market you sell into.
